For sale, Canon Powershot Pro1 with all standard accessories that came in the box, plus the LensMateOnline lens hood lens cap and accessory filter adapter. This lens cap should have been standard equipment with the Pro1, it practically attaches itself snugly and securely with barely a tap into the hood. The filter adapter lets you attach heavy 58mm accessories such as wideangle and tele lenses onto the camera body itself, and is a replacement for a Canon LA-DC58C. This is not the same as the small adapter for attaching light filters directly onto the lens.

The camera was bought in January 2005 from Adorama as refurbished, but I had a hard time believing that the camera had ever been used at all to be honest. I added a 5 year Mack warranty on top of that, which means the camera is under warranty until 2010. The Mack warranty is transferable for $15, so if you decide to sell it in 3 years, you will still be selling a warrantied camera-- how cool is that?!

The camera is in immaculate condition, it was well taken care of, and has a clear lens with no dust issues. It came with the latest firmware and should be sealed, but has never had the collar taken off to check. But like I said, no dust anyway. There are about 4500 clicks on it. The lens is of course rated as an L lens by Canon for it's high quality coatings and design.

For specs and reviews, hit any of the various review sites like DPR and DCResource. Be sure to note that their reviews were made on the original firmware. This camera never had that firmware and focuses quickly and without freezing the EVF.

For information about the lens cap, see //lensmateonline.com/pro1.html

The only reason I'm selling is I've caught the DSLR bug and need extra money for more goodies. It's been a tough decision to sell. If my Olympus E-10 had sold today I wouldn't have even considered parting with it. If anyone wants pictures let me know, but really the camera still looks brand new.

For the Pro1 with all standard accessories, lens hood, conversion lens adapter, and 5 year warranty, $550 plus shipping and insurance. In addition, $15 to transfer the warranty to your name. I take PayPal and have a 229 rating on ebay with 100% positive feedback, user id is murrells.

Thanks,
Dan

Price lowered to $525, plus shipping and $15 fee to transfer the 5 year warranty for a $500 up to $1000 camera. Do note, that also means that if it breaks in December 2009 and they can't fix it ore replace it, they will get you a current equivalent model.

Here's their FAQ about it:

What happens if the product cannot be repaired?
If your equipment cannot be repaired for manufacturer defects, Mack Camera will replace your product with the exact model. If your equipment is no longer on the market, we will replace your equipment with a similar product of current market value, at our discretion.

Imagine what kind of cameras will be available for $500 to $1000 in 2009!
