i was walking around with my 70-200 2.8 lens today at the zoo and i was kinda walking fast down a hill and the lens was bouncing and i was wondering if it was bad on the camera, i mean the lens weighs a lot and im sure it has its affects on the lens mount, but im curious to how much abuse they can take so i dont ruin mine in the future

| I just generally hold the camera/lens setup by the lens if a large lens is attached, since the camera body generally isn't very heavy. |

If I'm bouncing a bit, as when walking fast or running, I'll hook my fingers around the end of the lens hood, and let the camera rest in the crook of my arm. Actually a very comfortable way to carry this body/lens combo.

DEFINITELY cradle the long lens when moving around. We learned that back in my Nikon days, and the F1-F2 were SOLID beasts...
