The local electric power company has invited me to submit a photo to their contest themed, "Water." In English this title means "source" in Portugese it is titled "Fonte."
Looking for any ideas that might improve it.

Here is my humble opinion:
Not sure that spiral shrub thing, at top right, adds to the image. It draws my eye right out.
Would like to see more of the girl. She seems cropped kind of short to me.
A little more detail in the shrubs might help. They seem kind of dark to me.
And, that hair in above the girl's eye is a slight distraction.
That being said, I think it's a nice, interesting image and definitely "Fits the Challenge" Good Luck in the contest!

My 2 cents:
If the title is "source", then you may not do so well in a challenge simply because the focus of your image is very quickly drawn away from the water by the house in the background. My eye goes from the girl to the house and only finds the water because I know I'm supposed to be looking for some. |

| The house and shrubs in the background draw a lot of attention. Probably because there is so little of the girl. If you reshoot, don't crop out the girl so much. If there is no better angle, maybe try a shallow DOF to hid the background. Otherwise, I think the girl and the water is a good composition and will be a good picture for the contest. |

Very unfortunately cropped image. Do you have one with MUCH more of her body?
