I read the first HP book ages ago after all the hype had started. After I read it, I went straight back for the others and spent a blissful weekend just reading.

I think it'll probably be another couple of years for the next one, but I do know that JK has already written the ending.... I can't wait!

My mom's copy arrived in the mail today and I stole it from her. Just finished about 20 minutes ago. Overall I thought the beginning and middle of the book were so-so, but I loved the ending. Can't wait for the last one to come out.

I just went to the local 24hr Tescos (supermarket) at midnight on friday, maybe 30 other people there.

I'd finished it by lunchtime on Saturday, and thats with sleep as well!! All in about 6 hours of reading. I'll read it again soon so I can pick up on anything I may have missed.

Okay, I am no longer going to read this thread. My hubby went out to the grocery store at midnight on Friday night and got it. He gets to read it first. I had a wedding yesterday, three shoots this week and another wedding on Saturday. But when I finish pp, it is all mine. He is half-way through. I may have to start it sooner. But no spoilers!!!!! No hints, no details at all. Hubby is already killing with his sound effects as he reads the book. Please have a heart.

Oh yeah, Hi, my name is Teresa and I am also addicted to the Harry Potter book series.

This was the winner of a Harry Potter Look Alike Contest the night the book went on sale at our local Books A Million Store. The little boy, who is deaf, did not know he had won until his mother signed it to him. *so sweet*

My daughter won a trip for four to London and Scotland from Coca-Cola to see the filming of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. We went and due to work and school I had no idea who Harry Potter was, needless to say I learned quickly. I am now just as big a fan as my daughter. She has the book first though......... :(

I've just finished reading this last one and I'm very impressed, although angry with myself for not figuring out who the half blood prince was until they gave it away near the end. After all those clues throughout the book, I felt silly not knowing who it was. Especially now that it seems so obvious. I am now currently looking forward to the fourth movie installment, which looks really good on the trailers. I can't wait!

yeah I kind of felt silly too not knowing who it was, but hey, I like feeling oblivious to many things hee hee am waiting on my friend from work finishing it so that we can chat about it, but she has an interview to prepare for and would rather read for that than Harry Potter - honestly! (",) am kidding though

FINALLY finished it! My goodness, it took me longer to read this one than the 4th and 5th ones! Too busy nowadays. But it's all good, I'm done. I must say- there was A LOT of setting up in this one for the next one. I wish she would've written this one by the 4th especially if there is only going to be 7 books. Overall, not my favorite of them but you still gotta read it! So much information is given in this one.
My little brother (from the pics) is almost done with the CDs, just about 4 left or so. I finally had to just jump way ahead, he kept falling asleep! Haha. He loves it though.

I finished this weekend and all I can say is OMG!!! Hubby and I have been discussing it and neither of us figured out who the Half Blood Prince was until the end either. Way too many surprises in this one and I agree a great set up for the seventh and final book. Then what will be do?

I finished it this weekend as well. I wouldn't want to be reading the last couple of chapters in public. I can't wait for the last book.

For those (mostly in the U.S.) that haven't ordered it yet:
Harry Potter and the half-good prints

Took me 6-1/2 hours one evening. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. Definitely a good tale.

Ok finally managed to finish it! It was driving me crazy because I usually read something like this in a day but I just haven't had time to read over the past weeks apart from in bed for 10 mins before turning off the light.

Anyway thought this was brilliant and it is good to see her letting Harry grow up and develop as a character and Ron and the girls as well. How they will film this one should be interesting! The ending was very moving if a little cliched in places! Just hoping JK manages to get the next book out in a year and not leave us all hanging on.

I wonder how many parents will realise how dark this book is when they are busy buying it for their youngsters?

Is it now too disturbing for children?
