Your sense of composition is pretty good. Off the collection I think you've got the exposure the best on the mitch dive shot though for this one I think a more interesting shot would have been a split second later with him aiming for the water.

What's helpful when asking for comments is to pick a couple (though you don't have too many in the album you pointed to) and give a brief description of what you were aiming for. I know that's hard to start but the more you do it you actually learn from your own commentary.

Keep shooting and most of all have fun.

thnaks for the input. most of the time i just shoot what i think would be a good picture. im not really going for anything in particular. they are all kind of candid shots so not setup was really in mind.

What I'm getting at is more what type of mood are you shooting for? Are you shooting for humour, to tell a story etc? Candids can be used very well to tell a story.

Also, on shooting what you think is a good picture.... Why do think they are good? (not being facicious) Just try and put into words what makes the picture good for you? Is it the way the light falls on your subject, the placement of your subject or whatever?

i see what you are saying. as far as why i like the pics i understand, but as far as telling a story... i guess try sometimes to capture certain moods but this particular bunch of photos are pretty much random.

My shots are pretty much random as well though I'm usually taking them because the colour grabbed me or the texture etc etc etc. With candids you don't have much time to think before pressing the shutter button however afterwards it can be a learning experience to put into words why you like a particular photo yet don't like a different one.

Just my thoughts.
