Wow what a tough one to tackle. I can only assume that independence means so many different things to so many different people.

Now, while a picture of a cordless phone would meet the challenge, by all means it would also bore most voters to death. I dismissed taking the obvious pictures immediately(icons of independence and all...)but was pretty much stumped from there on. Until I saw a news piece on BBC America about various, Global Independent Struggles and it led me to think what it might mean to people of other lands that have no icons of independence ....or independence itself. It took a few days to figure out how to convey a slice of those struggles but I did.

My entry is dedicated to those who are fighting for independence of any kind. I don't expect to win any ribbons but I do hope it(my entry)is understood and well received for what it is.
