i would appreciate it if someone could tell me the recommended exposure for taking of lightening... thank you in advance! :) |

lightning shot expoures will vary. but I have had excelent results with 3 to 60 seconds.
ISO 200 apeture f5.6 to f20 depends on the exposure you want , longer the exposure, smaller the apeture (30 seconds = f20 or f10) depends on the surround light from the city lights.
use a tripod and a remote shutter release, also use a wide focal length
on a given night i will shoot between 20 and 200 shots at different exposures and may get only a few good lightning strikes

Don't forget to pay attention to the hair on the back of your neck. Your metal tripod could attract the object of your photo. |
