I have a Canon EF 28-80mm f/2.8-4L, and the rubber zoom ring is starting to get a little loose. Is there anywhere that sells replacement ones? Canon no longer services these lenses as far as I know, so I doubt I can get one from them.
Also, is there anywhere that lists the dimensions of the 28-80L, 28-70L, and 24-70L. There might be a possibility that they might share a rubber zoom ring of the same size.

Hi Nick- If yn't get an answer to this, PM me, and I'll take a micrometer to my 24-70 as well as the 70-200, and see if they'll fit.

I know this is a strange request, but I was wondering if anyone could measure the rubber zoom ring (width and circumference) on any of the following: 17-40L, 16-35L, 17-35L, or 24-70L.
My rubber zoom ring on the 28-80L is getting a little loose, and I was hoping that maybe it shares a like zoom ring with another lens out there.
Oh, the measurements for the 28-80L zoom ring are 21mm X 265mm (circumference measured from outside of zoom ring). |

just buy some super glue and squirt it underneath it ;)

glue + lenses doesn't seem like a good idea. double sided tape might work though. |
