Our new water garden/pond must be officially accepted by the local wildlife :)
These are two of the newest Residents (Toads):
And for those who do not know this is the sound we are listening to while the Toads sing back and forth:

Hahaha!
That should make things peaceful at night.
MMMmmmmmm Frog Legs, Just like chicken!
This lake you built in your backyard just might feed the entire family. It could pay for itself in no time.

We really like it I just hope the neighbors agree :)
I can't beleive how loud they sing.
My wife and I were setting on the deck and we just looked at each other and kind of chuckled.
Frog legs maybe but Toad legs (Not sure)?
I read that the Toad eggs/Pollywogs in a large enough quantity are poisonous to fish? They say generally the fish know enough not to eat them but if they do eat one the taste is generally bad enough they won't want more.
So does that make the Toad poisonous?

The neighbors may end up wishing it was "Rivet, Rivet, Rivet..." LOL

I guess when they felt threatened they inflated their throats and then when they began to sing to each other they really inflated their throats :)
They really stood their ground though even when our small male Pomeranian decided to nose around and check out that "Loud" little creature.
We had to laugh so hard our male Pom was very curious and brave but the young female ran like crazy in the house when she heard them LOL
We had to call her back out and my wife held her in her lap.

I was pleased the shots cam out so well considering I had to have my wife hold the flash light so I could focus and get the shot. It was very dark out at the time, and even with the flash it isn't to bad.

Here is a quick panorama I pieced together from shots that were hand held so it is not perfect by any means:
The umbrella and canopy are only temporary and will be replaced in the next phase of the project :)
These images are small in size so dial up connections should not have a real problem.
