This story is true, I swear...
So, I'm sitting here at home waiting for my girlfriend to get home. She was at the gym and I expected her home around 7:30. Around 7:30, she calls and says it's raining really bad, so can I go unlock the front door for her (we usually enter the back where the driveway is but anyway) so I go unlock it and wait upstairs for her.
She gets home, gets inside, she's drenched from the 20 second sprint to the door. I stand up and look outside -- her lights are on. So I wait for her to set her stuff down, and get her shoes off and I say, "ok I hate to tell you this, but your lights are on and if you want your car to start in the morning, you better go turn them off." Of course, she suggests that I go turn them off, but I say, "Well, you have the keys, and your shoes are up here, mine are down stairs -- plus, you're already wet."
But guess what -- she doesn't have the keys, she's locked them in the car. The spare is downstairs (where my shoes are which was my main excuse for not going out in the first place) so I agree to go out. I get the spare, head out, and I find that not only are her lights on, her door locked, her radio blasting, but her freaking engine is still running. I got back and said ... "at least you didn't leave it in gear." haha. Now that's classic.
