| That's MACRO!! It's a setting on your camera so that you can take a picture of something very close to your lens. Like within an inch even. Check your camera's instruction book. It will tell you all about it. |

| well my camera's simple, doesn't have a macro setting. So i'm going to take a picture, close up, will that suffice? |

Just an aside. Long before digital cameras cost less than $100,000 a piece good old analog cameras had macro capicity. I have a couple of macro zoom lenses that I still use with my trusty old Canon AE-1 bodies.
