I just bought a used 300D. I am switching to this from my Finepix S5100 so I know there is going to be a learning curve. Is there anyone in the St. Paul/Mpls area who would be willing to meet up with me somewhere and kinda show me how to use the camera after I have messed around with it for awhile? I will read the manual but am hoping to get some hands on help with the menus/settings/ect. All this digital SLR stuff is completely new to me.
I have a drivers license and my own vehicle. I am willing to drive almost anywhere in the metro. In exchange for the help I will be willing to buy you lunch (either with me or cash for lunch, your choice!). Because I am a college student that is really all I can afford to offer.
Thanks,

I don't think we have too many active Minneapolis members and I am most certainly not the one to be teaching anything. If nothing comes from DPC, I'd suggest checking out the Twin Cities Area Council of Camera Clubs for a club that meets near you and see if someone there might be able to help you. |

I'm in Minneapolis and have the 20D, which should be somewhat similar. But I'm sure you are in a hurry to get going and I'll be out of town until August 1st (taking pictures in Glacier!!)
I'll check this thread again when I get back, and if you still are looking for assistance, we can set something up then!

PM sent.
Also, for any Mpls members on here -- a member from the FM board setup an email group for photogs in MN. There is a link on the FM board to email the moderator of the listserv. |
