should make it more managable as far as commenting goes. I have made a promise to myself to leave at 10% comments, more if possible. I should be able to leave one for everyone on this challenge.

Well, I had this image in hand (taken only hours ago at a BBQ)and thought there might need to be an entire family...of some sort, in the image. So I didn't rush and then saw so many entries like what I could have entered, after the fact.
How would this have done, if you don't mind me asking???

i would of givin it a 5, simply becuase of the softness, the tones and the contrast is great its just too soft for my taste

A little heavy handed on the softness factor for me too. I think the subjects are in great poses though, and the light is great. Just a little less blur/softness and I would have given it an 7-8. |

Yes, I'm very pleased with the number of family entries...Much, much easier to deal with than 500 or 550, imo. You can vote and comment on 100% no problem, with only 160 entries or w/e it is. |

I would have given this shot a really high vote (probable a 9). I love the expressions, and candid photos of people always rank high with me if the composition is nice and the quality is good, which yours is both! Great shot! I'm sorry you didn't enter -- I'm sure you would have placed with it. |

Hey-Thanx for the comments folks. I agree it's overprocessed. My buddy in the shot mentioned his complexion (I know...it's like I'm dealing with Cher, here) so I blurred it a bit then hit it with some burn and they both looked a bit fake after all was said and done. Which I didn't even notice until it was mentioned btw.
For some reason I expected to see in the Challenge, massive family shots or metaphoric families, so entering this didn't even cross my mind. Oh well.
Again, thanx for the honest remarks (....bastards!!!)
