Hello,
I recall there were a few people looking at different gear for rain and/or underwater photog. I don't know if others have found this company, but Aquatech is based in Australia, they have distributors in the UK and USA. Here is their website aquatech, although their gear isn't cheap it'll definitely fit the needs for rain or underwater. I came across this on a review of their sports shield at nikondigital.org. |

If you're just looking for a beach/rain protection, the less pricey alternative may be Ewa-Marine. They make a heavy-duty zip-lock type system for most cameras, video cameras, and I'm sure a cell phone or Palm Pilot would fit in a bag, too.
They have a $80(US) bag for my Canon A40 - the housing I bought cost $200(US) at B&H.
I wouldn't recommend this for divers, though, as the Ewa-Marine bag is rated to only 30ft. The housing is rated to 100ft (and mine has been to 120ft with no leakage).
