Normally I use my memory stick to download pictures to my computer, but is it alright to upload photos to the memory stick to transfer them from computer to computer? I don't want to burn a CD and the floppy disk doesn't hold enough memory.

Yep :) You can certainly use it as another drive if you wish.

You can use memory sticks in those sony palmtops also. It just makes another folder on the stick. So if you make a folder named e.g. "Pcfiles" you can keep use it for photos and files. Don't put your files in the "dcim" folder cause that is where the photo's go.

I bought a card reader for my Memory Stick and Compact Flash. I not only use them to transfer Pictures from computer to computer, but documents, programs and other files. Easier then burning CDR's and much larger capacity than floppy disks. I just bought a 256MB CF. =O)

I should point out that from my CF (through my Canon A40) I don't need the card reader to transfer files. I can transfer files through the Camera, but it is more convenient to use the card reader.

Yoshio, I am not sure what software you received with your camera, but you should take a look and see if that software gives you the ability to download back into your camera. In the UK we are currently getting Pixela for Sony. This will tell you which JPGs you can put back onto the memory stick, that your camera will pick up. If you are not perturbed about whether the camera can pick up this file or not then would not worry about it.
