Your price would depend on the going rates in your area. When my daughter does a test for her book, in Atlanta, the rate is about $50 per look and the images are HERS. She still has to pay a CD burning rate, which is about $10 per CD. Then there is the fee for the m/up artist, which is about the same, either $50 per look or $150 for the shoot. And don't forget the stylist! Same rate as the m/up artist. So a 3 look shoot, including the images on CD runs about $500. If you can set up another model to shoot at the same time, knock 20% off. Make sure the stylist and the model and you get your heads together prior to the shoot with tears from magazines with ideas or if you have a clear cut idea, discuss that with the model. If you are going to charge to print each image and keep the rights to them, you better get a model release. That wouldn't float with most agencies, however. Model releases are strictly tabu from the model side unless the agency has previewed it and added stipulations as needed, like length of time images can be used and how they are used. My daughter usually takes her images to a printer who will PS them and then print them. Also, any photographer she shoots with that she pays will always reshoot for free if her agency isn't happy with the outcome.
