These are the main show.

These are some amateur fireworks people were shooting off before the show.

EDIT:
I would have had more pics, but about 10 minutes into the show at Liberty Lake, WA, there was an explosion on the boat where the fireworks were being launched from, and the show stopped. We saw emergency vehicles head towards it, and all the boats from all over the lake headed there. The show was over. Saw on the news this morning, 2 guys got injured and are in the hospital, but no one was killed thankfully.

OUTstanding Steve! You found a great vantage point, that really adds to the ambiance. Unlike my chainlink fence, LOL.

It does but the INCREDIBLE quality of your shots more than makes up for it!

Nice shots! Ours look so much alike! :) But that just might be because we were standing right next to each other the whole time. LOL

One reason I like shooting at this particular location; I can shoot from very close in. For these shots, I was so close that I had to use the 15mm fisheye, and these are only sparingly cropped. The fish, at f/16, is razor-sharp, and the perspective really gives an impression of the scale of the display. This is the first time I've used the fish to shoot fireworks, but it won't be the last!

I was just wondering that myself. Where they taken at the same spot?

Barbara - These are terrific - I was upset we couldn't join you all last night. My favorites are:
Both finale, Fountain and 2 white (the last one is probably my all time high). Great work! :-) We'll be there next year for sure!!

Here are mine:

ps. you need a $100 tripod to make a $1mil photo.

I realized today that my wal-mart type tripod is worth less than I paid for... it was just fine with a85 on it.D60 + 70-200f/2.8 in portrait... a breeze almost knocked it over.

Well, there is always next year.

Hey, gorgeous stuff James! Looks like they put on an awesome display! Seems like it was choreographed very well. You really did it justice. Kudos.

My first attempt at capturing fireworks. ISO100 F8 1.3 seconds is a good place to start. Not being behind trees would have helped, and if the guy in front of me had not stood up at the second burst and stayed there is would have been better too! Nex time will remember me remote shutter release as well!

AF worked better than MF. I was great at shooting the crappy ones and missing the good ones! The grand finale was a few stops brighter than the show so those shots are badly overexposed.

Rudy Zetz and 4th and Main was playing. I waited until dark to get some more atmosphere on the outdoor stage...perhaps not a great idea. It did give some atmosphere, but the lighting was miserable. ISO 1600, handheld and run through neatimage.

Here are mine:

and

I shot mine with ISO 100, and f 22 with the bulb setting. I think most of my shots were at between 1 and 4 seconds, but I'm not sure.
Anyhoo, wonderful photos, all!

Very very nice. Looks like a long one, exposure wise. had i remembered my remote I might have tried bulb. I was a bit disappointed at the colors of my shots - or the lack thereof.
