I've cleaned my lenses a few times, both ends, but I have some dust/small fibres inside the camera (i know this as they're in the same place with all photos).
I tried one of those dust blaster squeezy bottles, and all this did was blow more dust over the mirror! (i didn't risk putting it near the sensor!)
so i'm looking at the best way to clean the mirror first, and then perhaps the sensor if that doesn't solve the problem...
whats the best way? can you just use swabs on the mirror? |

I was trying to get a little piece of something out on my new one the other day, but didn't see anything. They do sell swabs, and I'm sure someone can point you in that direction. Take your lens off, do mirror lock up and inspect the CCD cover. See if it's something you think you'd feel comfortable doing before you waste time reading about it.
Personally, I'd feel comfortable with a blower, but that's about it...I don't think I'd want to touch that cover with anything in there.
I read somewhere that you get one free cleaning through Nikon under warranty...might wanna give that a shot.
