1. I'm thinking of buying a macro lens for under $200. Is this possible to get a good one for this price? No zoom just a solid reliable lens :)

2. I'm also thinking of buying lights. Again, inexpensive is the key.

3. Last but not the least... I'm thinking of an IR filter? Thoughts? Is it worth it?

Any advise?

i'm sure you can buy a decent macro lens for under 200, but it's probably going to be a MF lens (which doesn't matter too much in macro).

what kinda lights?

I don't have one so I can't help ya there :-(
