I see this mentioned all the time in the forums, but I've searched the page over and have found no such thing.

It's only available for paid members.

...though I can't imagine that F5 doesn't do the same thing...

It's a torturous and cruel mistress...binds you forever to the PC, giving you pain in the wrist as well as the heart...
07/02/2005 12:11:32 AM · #5
F5 will only update the web page. Scores are only updated on the hour unless you use the update button for more frequent updates.

It's this awsomely beautiful, golden, shining 3-D image customized for each member's preferences. On mouse-over it glistens and sparkles emitting a faint tinkling of distant chimes. The cursor turns into a magic wand that spreads fairy dust across the screen as your score updates.

At least that's what some of the "pigtails" have. I can't say what they give the short-hairs like you...

Edit: typo -- and forgot to say it's the best darn $25 bux I've ever spent

It's the foundation of a whole new 12-step program.

Soon coming to a location near you - run while you still can!

Mine must be broken then, all I hear is tolling bells, and I get soot instead of fairy dust!

You're lucky. I just hear the Song of the Volga Boat Men. Must be an indication of my score.

The glitter must come when you hit 7.

The update button to me is an evil, addicting, interactive, icon that lures you into false hope. It gets you to thinking that maybe, just maybe that new day for voteing, maybe everyone in the whole darn DPChallenge web site would all give you 10's for your current challenge submission.

When in fact the score drops down a tenth of a hundred, and you keep pushing that button as if pleading your case that your submission is the best of the best.

Update, Update, Update, Update......

Well you're all lucky. Mine seems to be tied to the following code:

;Begin JavaScript
iMemberScore[i] = iMemberScore[i] - 0.25
;End JavaScript

You forgot "deceptive." =)

The update button is truly an experience. I so looked forward to having my own when I became member...have never been disappointed. Sleep deprived, yes, disappointed no.

There's an option to turn it off.

Really? Well, I'm not a member, but my sister is, and her's must be more broken then yours!! Her's doesn't do anything!! Well, besides update her scores, changing it from 5.somthing, to 5.somthingelse.

That's definitely NOT TRUE. I had mine turned off for almost a full minute last week.
