SO where does all the Utah DPC'rs hang out, will be in town for another couple weeks, busy around son'w edding at Lake Powell, some grandchild blessings needs, and re-roofing parents home. If I survive the blisters maybe someone can guide me to their happy photo-grounds. I have a few Utah pics on-line at //www.memories.instaproofs.com but always looking for a better prettier photo experience. See ya'll aoround the mountains. For Sandy in San Antonio .... it's hot here too!

Butterfield Canyon just south of the Kennecott visitors center goes up to an overlook ovf the mine - very cool early or late.

Cecret lake is short hike from the top of Little Cottowood Canyon

There is a park at the very south end of Saratoga Springs that is beautiful at sunrise

Park city is always fun for all kinds of stuff

down south, on the highway to Monticello from Moab there's a turn off to La Sal. Go through La Sal across the border into Colorado to Paradox and Bedrock. Unbelievable.

If you have more time, highway 141 branches off after Bedrock and goes north to Grand Junction CO. It's amazing - it's where they "filmed" the road runner cartoons - it looks just like that almost all the way.

Or you can hook over to Naturita from Bedrock and follow the highway over to Telluride and down 145 to Dolores - stunning mountains and amazing mining towns along the way..
but I've left the state now haven't I...

Milcreek Canyon in the morning is stunning

The alpine loop is probably open now, loops up American Fork canyon over the mountain to Sundance one a one and a half lane road - moose and deer all over the place early and late on this one -

The mountain goats are over in Provo canyon this time of year, ask a ranger to show you where they are, take a big lens

I'll be at the bar, but you can also try Point of the Mountain for some hang gliding action in the afternoons. Alpine loop is open and Cascade Spring is a great place. You just missed them blowing up the old steel mill.

There are a few of us from Utah, we should get together for a trip south sometime.

Thanks ya'll.
Well lets see, lots of great ideas and guess what been to most of them in the last week. I got some great pics on Alpine loop and Cascade Springs, Wilson Arch and Delicate Arch as well as most of Arches, Kennecote's new (for me) lookout, Park City, Monticello (my wife was born and raised there), Provo Canyon (had my 20 year old daughters birthday at Canyon Glen for lunch today), Bridle Vail Falls, We have a week at Snowbird starting next weekend so Cecret Lake is there, my son's wedding is at Lake Powell next weekend also so I've got that covered. Oh ya and I have flown my hangglider from the point of the mountain many times (longest Point flight was almost five hours non-stop). WOW I guess I've covered the best places but everytime I go back there is something better to see. Some of my pics are here on my portfolio, check out the young aspen pic I took a couple days ago, I really like it. I also have some on //www.memories.instaproofs.com .
