Well done for the first time.
One commentâ€Â¦ my eyes tend to drift mostly to the area under your chin because it looks more three dimensional then your face (more shadows). You may want to change your lights a bit so there is more volume to your face and maybe have the rest of your body emerge from the darkness. And perhaps try to orient your face so that it is not directly parallel to the camera lens.

Your 'adam's apple' is distracting, a deeper shadow would in the neck area would help. Nice shot otherwise. |

I personally think it needs to be a little less stark in the contrast. The eyes are TOO white, IMHO, and while I realize they are the focal point, I think the drama is overdone. |
