Since the metal challenge is over... I want to take this shot and frame it. I know it needed a good bit of post processing (the challenge was basic). With thanks to all who left comments (specially mesmeraj for her detailed suggestions). What do you all think NOW? Is it "wall-worthy"?

Big improvement :-) I like the new crop much better. Good job with the re-edit. A very emotive photo. Nice.

Thanks taterbug.

Anyone else? Before I head out to find a frame?

Ches! Gorgeous! The image looks wonderful. And i really like the new crop too. Did you sharpen? or was it just the change in contrast? The image looks a lot crisper postprocessed. Well Done!

I did not sharpen. Did just about exactly what you suggested.

Cloned out the thing on her finger, and the rough skin around her fingernail (I have no clue where to find the heal brush).
Auto leveled
Auto contrasted
Played with curves a bit
New Crop
Added the borders and sig.

Size on it ended up at 740x740 with borders. I'm hoping that'll make a 6" or 8" square in print, it's at 3.2 megapixels.

I tried retaking the pics outside (for nice bright sunlight) but it was a horrible failure. WAY to much light, and I couldn't get the princess to cooperate and grab it the way I wanted to.
