As you can see from my profile, I do commercial graphic design. I just got a fairly large contract to do design for a multinational corporation today and the design portion will probably end up incorporating flyers, brochures, postcards, magazine ads, and billboards.

I figured it might be a good idea to scrap the idea of using "Royalty Free Stock Photography" and just pay someone for the rights to some high resolution images that would be suitable for very large prints as well as small.

Thoughts on this? I'll probably just need 3-5 images of one or more models (asian, caucasian, black, hispanic). Do you have suggestions regarding where I could buy good quality imagery? Are any of you site members interested in selling some of your own prints?

Many questions I have, your advice/inputs are welcome.

Can you post a couple color photos you've taken of models? And the highest resolution they would be available in? They can be pretty generic. Just need smiling happy people, hopefully with very little background (something that can be easily masked out in PS). These ads will be of the "pharmaceutical genre", so think of stuff you see in magazines/TV for drugs and you'll get close to the types of people shots I need.

Also, let me know what your pricing would be (and terms of use).

Why not just hire a few models and take the photos you want. That way you won't have to worry about reproduction rights.

It will be more fun too.

Melissa (melking23) produces some excellent work. If you haven't already, David, I would send her a private message.
