I put together a page for us to keep track of GTG's and other photo-related events (after suggesting it be here). If you would like a username, post here and Ill send you a username and password. It's still in beta so let me know of problems :)

Nice page! A friend of mine is coming to visit me this weekend and is going to teach me some PHP coding. One project I had in mine to learn with is an events calendar with some tie-ins directly to the site. My goal is to write the feature as completely as possible and hand it over to Drew and Langdon for review and possible integration into the site.

My intent is to allow listing of events, each with one or more organizers and linked to one or more forum threads, an RSVP system, and a maybe a database of attendees.

We'll see what happens... in the meantime, can I have a username for yours?

Terry and RebAl - you should both check out evite.com and see how they work it too. There's another one too, but I know Evite does "yes, no, maybe" etc. for RSVP.

now we need a free study every month so you can decorate the calenders every month with the winner of the free study...

Is there a way to book a multi-day event?

is there a way of showing dates with GTG's better, it was hard to find the the entry for the 9th...make the number a larger font and change its color.
I think the most important thing is a list of events and the calenders are secondary
so the page could be a list of all upcoming events sorted by date with with only the location showen that when clicked take you to a details page
and the calenders could be in a nav bar to the side
it would help if the links to related threads were clickable

Multi day events will have to be written for each day

Looks like a good idea, but it would be difficult for many to find the calendar for their first time - I think the forum posts may actually be more likely to draw attention.. although this could be a good way to serve as a reminder, or set dates for the future..
