Hurro..
Some pics from yesterday. Portraiture is not my best skill, so any comments/critiques very welcome.

On the 1st one, I feel the face is too centered in frame vertically. The eyeline is practically dead center. Move him up some. The eyes are well lit, which is good because they're everything in portraits. Glasses make shadows difficult to deal with, maybe try taking them off next time. I'd rather focuse solely on his face but the hand is a distraction. As for the posing, maybe try a 2/3 view next time, his right side is stronger.
On the 2nd, the lighting is extremely short. If you're going after dramatic then it's fine, though I would've liked to see softer shadows. I think he could've been framed closer.

The first one I like - I couldn't really pick out anything I don't like about it. I think you did very good with positioning and framing your subject as well. However, the 2nd one really stands out to me... it is truly my favorite of the two. I love the lighting, framing, positioning, pose... very well done here.
