Seeing this is my fiest challenge I can't really say how well I will do but I don't expect anything higher than 5 because my submission was rushed, slightly off focus and a little glary, but then I guess when you shoot in a rush you get nonsense :)

Good luck eveyone.

Well the big question on my picture was why it was so small. The answer is: because it was new software, I was getting used to and the new camera. I was worried about it being too big guess that wasn't the case.
Some had realized it was the first time I had entered anything and were kind about that.

That picture was entered for fun as it was a photograph to go with the story on a coalmining disaster in that town in 1935 and what followed. There was nothing creative or meant to be about that shot.
I never intended to enter it in any competition. It just happened I had it inbetween the right dates so I did, just for fun. I figured it would give me a chance to play with the software and get used to how it works.

When you supply pictures for stories or articles they do not want creative, they want the straight goods. Unless the story was on creative photography.

Many people were entirely helpful in their comments there was an exception in there too. As one such comment came across as arrogant and rude.

This picture was just done for fun and getting used the new equipment. I truly did not expect to win anything or even get a rating.

Good Luck Everyone

Well I hope it wasn't me who gave the rude comnment. I try to write so many that sometimes I don't use enough positive reinforcement. Anyway, good luck with your new equipment.

Here is my prediction, not coming true. I've got more 1s, 2s, and 3s than 8s, 9s, and 10s... oh well. Below average again.
Maybe I'll have better luck with the macro/circle?
