I just submitted an entry for the macro challenge and there is no way I will let it be voted on. In Elements on my system it is crisp, colorful and luminescent. On DPC it is muddy looking, blurry and has no luminesence at all. This is not a minor difference. I loaded the pic twice with the same results. I have only saved it as jpeg once on my system and the difference is several large grades of clarity and color. What is causing this serious degredation in my shot. I have uploaded many to DPC and this is the first time I have seen such a disappointing result. Thanks to any who respond and might shed some insight.

Did you save the picture for web ie sRGB?

Saved as jpeg, but I think I solved it. PS was showing it as saved jpeg but displayed the psd quality. After closing and opening the saved jpeg it was kaka.... when I saved the psd as jpeg, the displayed pic did not change, and it was only when I uploaded the jpeg and viewed it that I saw the change. So I need to do some work in the psd to jpeg conversion it appears.

Also, what is the file size of the uploaded pic? Both color space issues and high compression can wreak havoc on the impact of the uploaded pic.
Try to stay as close to 150k as possible, while keeping the long side at 640px. As previously posted, "save for web" is the most flexible way to do this.

Move along...nothing to look at here... these are not the comments you are looking for..(nails up a pilot error sign on the locked door and wanders off).
