Hello:

Does anyone know of any good digital photography classes in the Los Angeles area? Preferably ones that aren't super expensive.

Thanks!

I think Photoshop offers free classes on the topic.
You may want to check their site and see.

What kind of knowledge are you looking for? There are some great photography books out there. Two of my favorites are:

'Learning to See Creatively' and 'Understanding Exposure', both by Bryan Peterson. If you get them on amazon, you can get free shipping too :p

Well, I haven't taken any formal classes in photography. So I am looking for basics, perspective, setting up a shot, lighting, etc. Peterson's books look great - I have added them to my wish list (just bought 3 other books on photography).

Thanks!

I thought photoshop had classes on digital photography but I think it's only on photoshop.

I never had one formal class but read Rick Sammons book and then experimented and learned on my own and with fellow photogs in shootings and on forum. I really like this comprehensive book and would recommend it to anyone learning photography.

The link below should take you top the thread I started about a home photography course. You can make payments so it could be in your budget,
