I went to Woodward today for the FMX event. It was too hot for my kids, so I didn't get to see the finals. I did get a few decent shots during practice though-

Tuesday I am going to the Skateboard Vert event, and Wednesday the BMX Vert. Pictures to follow.
If your anywhere near Central PA, think about attending--It's FREE.
Woodward is an amazing place. It's been the host of the X-Games, the NBL Nationals and Bikes Boards and Blades. It's been in several video games, such as Tony Hawks Pro Skater, and Dave Mirra's BMX Freestyle. Many professional extreme athletes work and/or train there.

I wish I could go there. I had the pleasure of going when I was 13 or so and now that I'm into photography I know there are some awesome pic opportunities. Take some good ones for me. I like the 'full extension' and 'More-Nothing". |

The dates and times have been changed for the BMX and Skateboard Vert contest. Practice is on Wednesday. The contest is on Thursday. Both are still open to the public.
This works out perfect for me. The 70-200 F2.8 VR lens I ordered will be here in time for me to use it. Can not wait to see what I can do with it.

Cool shots! If I were there I'd have a few hundred shots of empty air and three or four shots with a blurry object part way in the frame, LOL!
