for the obsolete challene i want to desaturate the blue in the sky, so is it against the basic editting rules if i desaturate only blues?

| No, as long as you don't select any part of the image. The desaturation must be applied equally to the whole image. |

if you desat the whole frame but just the blue channel thats fine, but don't make any other selection (like the sky) because thats not legal
