When sending photos in for printing (kodak paper) what is the minimum resolution I could get away with without starting to get blurry or pixelated? I'm trying to figure out how large a print I can get out of my photos. I have a Canon S30 3.2Mpx. Thanks! |

Most places want 300 dpi. You can usually get an acceptable result at 200 dpi. I've pushed it down to 100 dpi to get a 20" x 30" enlargement made and found it OK for viewing at normal distance, but a little fuzzy up real close.
I usually leave my image at 300 and pad the canvas out to fill the print size I intend to make -- see my folder of Bordered Pictures for (low-res) examples of pictures I had printed at Ofoto.
