Oh. Wow. Sorry to everyone else, but that one has got to be my favorite of the lot. I have a feeling boots will find a lady friend in no time if I start passing that photo around.
How do you apply a gaussian edge to a selection? I'm looking through menus and am not seeing it.

Make your selection, then go to selection menu and choose modify/border and set the pixel width; in this case, 3. Then set feather from the same menu, in this case 6 pixels feather. You'll now have a "border selection that's half inside of and half outside of the original selection. Apply gaussian blur to this border, and it feathers right in on both sides.
