I would really like a more general lense yet I would also like a macro. But now that I am doing my professional jobs I would like to have something that would be good for close ups and distances (lets say for a wedding). I currently own these:
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III

I don't want to break my wallet but would like to make a more educated buy this time. Feedback very welcome.

have you considered the EF-S 60mm macro?

Have you considered the Sigma 150mm EX macro lens?
It is a nice macro lens and I personally like to stay around 150mm for portraits for it's DOF.

This is supposedly a versatile and high-quality lens for EOS.

Lee

Edit: I highly recommend the 85mm f/1.8 USM lens which is great for portraits and has a relatively close focusing distance of .85 meters.

I have been looking at that. It's on my list. Wanted to get feedback and then click pay.

Thanks everyone so far for the feedback.
