i had a great experience recently purchasing a new 50mm 1.4 nikkor lens so i figured it was worth sharing.(if you want the short version skip the next 2 paragraphs) my limited internet purchases have been less than great so maybe this experience just sticks out more b/c of that fact...anyway on with the story

i found thecamerabox.com while looking on the internet for a 50mm 1.4 nikkor. i figured it must be to good to be true because they beat everyone in towns price by $100. i called to see if they really had the lens in stock for $200 and it turns out they did. not only that but they shipped the lens 3 to 5 day ups for free...ok nothing that special so far but what i think was a great price

i realize about 3 hours after ordering that i'm leaving town for 3 weeks and the lens won't be here until after i leave. i call back to see if i can get them to ship it priority 2 day. the lady i talked to when i call them ended up going down to the warehouse while leaving me on hold finding my lens and changing the shipping for me to overnight on their dime...now that's what i call customer service

long story short i was very pleased with their prices, products and most importantly their customer service. so if you're in the market you should check their site.

ps after reading this is sounds like some kind of guerilla markting plug but it wasn't intended to be that at all

It looks like you've been quite lucky.
The same lens is priced at $299 now.
Maybe I'm wrong, is it this lens you purchased ?
