I took this candid shot of a street performer during my lunch break yesterday, I cloned out a busy background and was really happy with the results, what are your thoughts?

nice shot, the lighting is a little harsh around her eyes, but you did a great job capturing the colour and action. her face does look a little serious about the whole thing, but that does give it a nice contrast to the flow of the fabric.

Lighting from direct sun is a little too harsh on face, otherwise it is lovely; she looks like a flower! |

What was in that busy background?
I want to see the original background, it would bring a different feel to the image. I like the capture of what you hae shown, but knowing what you did, I wonder what it looked like. |

I'll post the original capture later today, lamp-posts, people walking etc. blocking the view. As far as the brightness, The picture was taken at high noon on a bright day with no clouds, and I was without my polarizer.

I can see why you wanted to remove the background, but by removing the stilts her expression seems out of place. In the original it is easy to see she is having to concentrate on her performance.
Another thing is the lack of a feel of motion. The loose cloth gives a little, but even that is mostly silenced. But, since I don't know what kind of motion she was in during her performance (or even if she was performing at the time) I have no way of knowing if the motion I wish I was seeing was there to be captured in the first place. (if that made any sense at all) :D
Other than that and the harsh shadows (not much to do about that under the circumstances) it is a wonderful display of color and curves.
