Just wondering if I could get some feedback on a pic I took last night. Still learning how to use my new camera. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You've done a good job with the exposure and the reflections of the red lights add interest.
To make the image more dynamic a different vantage point to put the structure on more of a diagonal may help. Including more of the structure beyond the openings may also add interest and balance.

I'd try and crop closer to the overflow gates. See how that looks. |

The image has low contrast. That is comon in lower light level images like this. Any autocontrast adjustment will point this out. Just a strait autocontrast, however, will introduce more problems than it will fix.
This image may best be corrected with a standard "S" curve in a Photoshop 'curves' adjustment with probably more top adjustment for brightness than bottom for contrast.

Thanks for the help. I agree that it needed a bit more contrast. Went ahead and adjusted the pic above. Definitely looks better. |
