If you request a DQ, at some point should you see the 'been validated' notice on it? Or does this not necessarily happen? I am asking since I requested a DQ on an entry in a challenge and the 'been validated' message never appeared. Does this mean my request was ignored?

| Not all requests get validation notices. I'll try to look up the photo you are referring to and see what's going on. We have had a FLOOD of requests in the Metal challenge, so we may be backed up too. I'll try to find out. |

Your request is never ignored. As Heather said, not every request gets a notice, especially if it's for something like date violation. The notice usually goes to photos who receive multiple DQ requests or really look like they've not followed the proper editing steps when they have.
Aditionally, it sometimes take awhile to go through the process. In order to request proof (which is what is required for the validated notice to appear), we have to reach a certain vote. Once that is reached, the photographer has 48 hours to submit their original. After that, we look at the original. So it can be a 3-4 day process.

Thanks. I guess you can lock this thread. I got your messages. I didn't mean to add any extra work, really was just curious about the validation message. Now I know. Again, thanks.
