Yep... the results were in.. and I was one of the second place winners of the details & macro portion of the May 2005 photo contest!
My photo on betterphoto (..thanks ben ;) ) and a list of the other macro shots that came in first and second place.
As a prize I receive a premium photo gallery from betterphoto which is pretty darn cool, or at least it is to me. This was the first time that I submitted something over there, so I guess it's kinda cool!
Tooting my own horn for once...

Good job!
I like the choice of music sheet as the background rather than regular text. Not sure about the strange blue tinge along the top of the pages.

Nice shot, I totally forgot I had an image in that contest too, ( //www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGallDetail.asp?photoID=691922 ) didn't fair as well as you.
Good job and congratulations.

Yea.. it was a weird hue. I actually submitted the same photo but a different edit with the blue hues reduced... but the judges liked this one better --- who knows! |

Did you try a custom white balance before placing the filter? Looks like your background light is the cause but I'm not positive.
