I always hold the shutter button halfway. Wiat for a beep and then it is ready. Once the shutter button is pressed all the way then it will almost instantly take a shot. I know this sound like a lot but once you do it for a few days you get real used to it and it becomes second nature to do so.

I also used a remote, it was 0.3s at f/5.6
The remote made a huge difference

I've found the full Moon is much harder to get a good exposure on. First or last quarters are best that way one gets more contrast on craters and terrain. I took this one several months ago with the 828 up to an 80 mm scopes eyepiece.

yes the remote was the key to having just one moon in my shot.. =)

Can't you put it on like a 2 second delay? Try that if so.

I need a new tripod. When I put my d60 with tc and 70-200 lens on it, I fire it with remote on a 10s delay, and it still shakes...
