Okay, I'm bummed....

Two challenges so aptly fitted for me "Fantasy" and "Metal" and I let them pass me by. I just did not have the energy to pull either off. (And computer complications added to it all.)

*blargh*

:-(

Eh, we're all lame some times. Just buy yourself and a female friend a nice lunch and you'll feel less lame in no time.

Problem is, my female friend had to go back home on Sunday after a week of visiting me.

This followed my second floor tenant's older daughter trying to hang herself in the bathroom Sunday morning.

Which followed a friend of mine losing their 2 month old daughter to crib death Saturday morning.

So I had a busy weekend and was just too tired to get out my fantasy gear.... *sigh* .... and am bummed cause those would have been two of my top topics for challenges.

I've been feeling the same for months :(

I come up with ideas and plan for every challenge but just never actually take and enter the pics

Wow. Sorry to hear of the troubles you have been facing. I suggest buying that lunch just for yourself then. And, even if it's for 10 seconds, just breathe. It all goes up from here.

Saj - You have every reason to have missed some photo op's! My goodness, what an emotional rollercoaster you've endured the last couple of days.

Find something fun to do. If it's pulling out the camera and going on a roadtrip - do it! Definitely need to catch a fresh breath and get a little break. Smile, have some fun.

Take care.

I have also been kicking myself for not getting off my butt and at least trying to get my ideas into reality. But after reading your post, I'm glad not to have your reasons for not getting there. Remember that life has a reason, so take a deep breath and share it with those left around you.

art is sometimes fueled by tragedy and hardship.

Well Monday I leave for a road trip half way across the country to sunny Illoinois cornfields for the Cornerstone Music Festival...so hopefully that will be a nice escape!

That should be a good time! I'm a Michigander originally and lived in Illinois for a spell as well...so enjoy the big Midwest!

Do you enjoy your sweetcorn grilled or boiled? ;^)

Hey Superdave, try DogfishHead's 120 minute IPA (full on hops, and 20% alchol)

Saj - sorry to hear of all the drama and trama. The beer suggestion is good. Think about this - Beer comes in a METAL can. We often FANTASIZE about beer (well, if you haven't had one for a long time and really crave one and... heck, I don't need to explain myself!) - anyway - take some pics and post in the forums in a "How would this have done" thread and we will all give you sympathy 10's. :) Have fun, enjoy, relax, God bless.
