Try to catch this facinating documentary which profiles photojournalist, James Nachtwey. You'll get THE inside view what it's really like to be a photojournalist.. the uglyness of war, poverty.. etc etc. It's quite disturbing.

Initially, I wanted to see this film to pickup a pointer or two, but at the end, I was totally transfixed by his pictures. I wanted to see more.. learn more about the subjects in his pictures..

Saw this on french television a few months ago. Very impressive and moving!

Thank you for sharing this link. I am persuing his work now.

Of particular note, on his website, is an image of a man throwing a pan of water onto a burning truck in Northern Ireland in 1981. There is so much hope from this man that he can still help or make a difference. That his efforts matter, yet in such sharp contrast, this image shows how desperately futile his act really is. This is a powerful image that speaks volumes to me. Other images on there are very powerful, but the contrasts in this particular one is astounding.

yer welcome. :) and, yep, his photographs bring out such range of emotion out of the viewer.. it's just bleepin amazing..
