I want to know if it's alright to add a small outline to my text to help with the separation. I had to use layer styles to achieve it. |

I just tried it. In Photoshop Elements, by doing this it seems that I had to create a second layer in order to apply the style to the text on the pic. So I think it would NOT be allowed since the rules say "Only adjustment layers can be used", and this second layer seemed to be something other then that.
May want to wait for a second opinion however, I've been known to be wrong. :D |

I would think that effects on the text should be allowed... as for an outline, if you want to play it safe just write the same text twice, one slightly larger, and you should be able to achieve the same effect just by adding text... Though like I said, effects on the text (drop shaddow, inner shadow, outter glow, etc) are probably allowed in this challenge, but I'd probably wait for a few more opinions to see what everyone thinks. |

My opinion -- effect on the text is part of the text, not the photo; therefore it is allowed.
