Hey! I just finished transerering all my pictures from tonight's shoot at the boxing gym with two models I started working with. Marie-Eve and her boyfriend Jean-Michel. This was my second shoot with them. We went to the gym where they train. Anyways, we did a bunch of sports shot with them on punching bags, them in the ring goofing off (very funny) and we did some modeling shots... Here's a beautiful shot they gave me between rounds!
I'll convert some more tomorrow. Meanwhile, any comments are welcome! |

Allright, here's another shot where you can see how cute they are...
It's too bad my lighting was very weak, I had to shoot at ISO 160 with maximun aperture and I still had to set my shutter at 1/25 sec. I gotta get better lighting... |

Well, cute indeed. It looks like you had all a lot of fun during the session. They seem to be pretty comfortable posing. Great pictures great models.

They really are great! They are very enthousiastic while working, they love the camera. What more could I ask for? Oh yeah... Better lighting! |

So, what did you use for lighting?

I had two 75watts flood lights mounted on tripods. For some close-up portraits, I use umbrellas to diffuse the light more. I know, 75watts... It's pathetic but it's all could gather at the last minutes. Still, besides being a little noisy, most of them are great. I really love working with them. Hopefully, by the end of the summer, we'll have great portfolios. |

This one is my favorite so far. I think the lighting is great. More lights are good for some shots but this lighting really sets a mood and I like to infer from the lighting that they were alone. I think I like her looking away and him looking into the camera but I'd be interested to see the difference if they were both connecting through the lens. These aren't nits 'cause I like the photo just as it sits but I noticed that the toe of her left boot is clipped and there is a line of light that parallels her shin to the far right of the photo. I'm sure you could clone the light if you wanted.
Very nice work. I like the tones you got here.
