Does it matter if the usual data are not supplied in the original photograph?

The image I'm thinking of entering was stored as a TIFF on the camera, and is lacking the information supplied by most of the photographs. When I look at the data, I only see the following values: width, height, xres, yres, bit depth, frame count, equipment make, camera model, and creation software.

Is it still OK for entry?

It has to have the complete EXIF data, especially the date the photograph was taken. What program are you using to extract the EXIF data? Try this progam it is good, Opanda IExif. You can download free from the net at Opanda.com

That's not included in any pictures I've taken in TIFF format, only the JPEG's, even though it's directly copied off the camera. :(

Oh well, I guess I'll just retake the shot tomorrow. Thanks, though.

The link above has version 2.0 which will get the EXIF from tiff files. Look about midways down the page in BLUE you will see where it supports Tiff files.
