Hey,
I have a Nikon D70 (6.1mp) and currently it produces very nice A4 results indeed (off of my canon i865).
I'm thinking about going up a size though (or more if possible) and wondered what the limits were that i can take a 6.1mp shot too before losing noticable quality/pixelation occurs etc.
Is A3 going to be the absolute limit? Also what size is A3 in inches? I ask this as i seem to be around 110DPI short of the next size up for selling my images, and am stuck at 10x15 (the one just before the x24 ranges come in)
advice appreciated. |

Generally the larger the print the further away it will be viewed, so the quality degradation is not as big a concern.
Assuming the above is the case, with a decent lens you will be able to print out to almost any size.
This is the reason a 4MP Canon 1D can print onto a billboard.

so you think i should `upscale` my images somewhat to enable people the option of poster size prints?
currently i've just stuck with the limits for a 3008x2000 image which is max (for the dpi) of 10x15 apparently (according to upload stats :-)
i'm very new here btw :) |

Are you talking about DPCPrints or some other sales service?
I don't know about any specific print service, all I know is printing at lower resolutions is acceptable the larger the print becomes.
