I have decided to create a work of art to put in my new kitchen. It is a watercoloured (PS) version of a photo of a crocus from my wife's garden.

Any comments would be very much appreciated.

Nice colors in that crocus! To my eye the watercolor affect is barely noticable, it would be cool to see the original. It seems crowded on the bottom and I think this is caused by your framing. Professional framers have additional mat at the bottom, I would add around 1/2 inch to the mat at the bottom, try it out and see what you think!

I agree that the watercolour is barely noticable, but only at this print size. The original 16x24 is much more obvious. Here is the original picture.

Thanks for your comments on the framing.

Great shot, well the most important thing is if you like it, cause you will be seeing it every day! But agree, that perhaps the cropping at the bottom of the shot is a bit tight. Also, I feel that the border is a bit overpowering, perhaps a smaller, equal border would be nicer.

I love the border, it makes the flower really stand out.
