I was just wondering if there's a technical reason for limiting the number of images. I can't think of one and I don't like having to purge my list.

Cheers

I am in complete support of lifting the limit on faved images but would also like to know the reason for a limit in the first place.

Presumably to prevent abuse, i.e. someone adding all the images to their favourites - which would mess up statistics, not to mention wasting resources.

Maybe Favs were originally limited due to storage space considerations. The limit was raised fromm 200 to 500 in response to requests from users. Wouldn't mean as much if there were no limit.

I was really appreciative of the raise to 500 favourite images.
I'm still struggling with 500 though, and really had to work hard to purge 50 or so a couple of days ago. I'd be really happy if this was raised to 1,000 or so. I really like the feeling I get from rewarding people for great photography by adding them to my favourites. All my current favourites are there as of 2 days ago because I really can't stand to take them out of my list.

Is there any official response to this please?

If you have multiply favs from one photographer just pick them as a fav photographer.

Thanks faidoi, but it's not so much an answer as a fix.

I never knew there was a limit.
