I was checking out the Sigma 70-300mm Macro lens. Can any one tell me the difference between:
:: This one ::
Sigma
Price : $ 139.00
Shipping Cost
Zoom Telephoto 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DL Macro Super II Autofocus Lens for Canon EOS

:: and this one ::
Sigma
Price : $ 219.00
Shipping Cost
Zoom Telephoto 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO Zoom Macro Super II Autofocus Lens for Canon EOS

I don't know the answer but would suggest that you check Sigma's site, if you haven't already.

This is an apochromatic lens, which mean less chromatic aberration. Also, normally, apo lenses have more elements. At least that is how it is when it comes to scopes. :)

So, in other words, it's a 'Good Thing'

It's not made out of the same glass and you have one more aspherical element in it. It gives you more sharpness and less chromatic aberration for what I know. I'm very happy with it so far.

Thank you all for your input.

This is one of the lenses i want along with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 and the speedlite 580.

But i'm new in this, just got my camera less then a week ago.
