What do people think of Del Boy (David Jason) being knighted?
In my view it is long overdue, he is a great actor in only fools and horses and in a touch of frost here in the UK.

Just love his sense of humor, ever since "Open all hours" can still look at those episodes and laugh really loud! About time to get some more recognition :)

FANTASTIC!
(and no, I'm not being sarcastic)
David Jason has long, long been one of my all time favourite actors, not least because he looks like my dad (except white).
I think he's fantastic, versatile and, as benhur has said, this is LONG overdue!

I agree - long overdue! H'e's an exceptional actor.
This is a sad day for me, however and I'd like to take this opportunity to celebrate something that didn't happen.
My sister-in-law, Sheila Cater, was due to receive an OBE in the Queen's Honours today. It was to be for the tremendous church and charity work she had been involved in for over 40 years. Sadly she died a short time ago, aged 60, before she knew that she was going to be warded the honour. She cannot be awarded it after death and I just want to say
Mrs Sheila Cater,OBE. Congratulations! You deserved it so much and we miss you so much.

Pauline, I'm sorry for your loss...
If I understand it correctly, David Jason already had an OBE but is now to be knighted too?
